Today no one remembered to bring their laptops in.  Ryan suggested to disconnect the desktops from the school network and connect them via a switch, thereby creating their own network.

Students involved in this testing included: Ryan, Bryce, Rebecca, Andrew, Avery and Zac.  Problems encountered were that students had two ip addresses

Other members of the class worked on the posters to go out.  The dates were decided to be
Seniors - Age of Empires this Thursday
Middle School - Minecraft next Monday

Both will be held in the 2nd break.  No one has approached Mr Warner / Mrs Prakash to book the sewing room.

Setting up the LAN

Mmm today was the day we were to set up and test the lan with Age of Empires and Minecraft

Only 3 people brought their laptops to class.  One of which has not had Java updated for along while and therefore  was unable to take part in the Alpha test.

The group connected the machines via  a procurve switch.  This was a good option but we had problems as one of the cables was found to be defective.

Once Minecraft was set up and connected, the hunger games mod was installed and tested.

Problems that were encountered was that the map could be destroyed only by the creator of the map
No lag was noticed.
